Stamp Music Importer Moves Playlists Across Spotify, Apple Music & More

No Comments

Berlin, Germany – Available at no cost for iOS and Mac/Windows desktop, Stamp Music Importer by STAMP Software lets users import or export their favorite tracks and playlists to various music services. Import sources include: Spotify, Apple Music, Google Music, Rdio, Deezer and YouTube. Export destinations include: Spotify, Apple Music, Google Play Music, and Excel (for playlists).

While music tastes and preferences vary — often leading to some of the most heated debates (read: flame wars) that the web has ever seen — there’s one thing that bonds hundreds of millions of music lovers across the world: a unified hatred of having to manually move tracks and playlists between the ever-growing roster of music services.

Well, this widespread suffering is now finally solved — and Swifties and Belibers can go back to viciously attacking each other vs. wasting time and effort moving their music around — thanks to the must-have new app Stamp Music Importer, which has been featured in Lifehacker, MacRumors, CultofMac, and several other tech/lifestyle publications.

Available at no cost for iOS and Mac/Windows desktop, Stamp Music Importer lets users import/export their favorite tracks and playlists from/to various music services. Import sources currently include: Spotify, Apple Music, Google Music, Rdio, Deezer and YouTube. Export destinations currently include: Spotify, Apple Music, Google Play Music, and Excel (.CSV files for playlists).

What’s more, Stamp Music Importer is easy to operate. Users simply select a source and destination, choose the playlist or playlists they want to move, and that’s all there is to it. The app’s script takes over to hunt for each track and transfers everything in the background. Users can still use their device, tablet, laptop or computer, and are notified when the work is done.

“People want to enjoy their music whenever they wish and wherever they are, but manually transferring tracks and playlists from different music services is tedious and frustrating,” commented Michal Hernas of STAMP Software. “But now with Stamp Music Importer, the process is easy and automatic. Once people experience the app, they’ll wonder how they ever survived without it!”

Stamp Music Importer for iOS is available now from the App Store, a desktop version for Mac and Windows is also available. There is no cost to download the app, and for such a powerful utility with a great interface, the app needs an impressively small 36MB footprint. A dedicated version for Android devices is coming soon.

Killer Mobile Game I am Barbarian is now on Windows with New Content

No Comments

Singapore – OrionArts PL updates its one-minute killer running game “I am Barbarian” by raising the difficulty bar. Replacing its randomized obstacles with a fixed sequence of even more tightly-paced death traps and new environments, the game is set to evoke a stronger sense of nostalgia among the fans of retro platform games. It is also made available for the Windows platform following the content renewal.

On the surface, increasing the difficulty of the game seems like a counterintuitive move. Post launch statistics show low completion rates despite each session lasting only one minute or less. Between the problem of being too difficult and not being tight enough for a retro-styled game however, the 35 year old creator behind the game Koh Siang Leng, opted to “fix” the latter.

Koh elaborated that the old school platform games used to make players feel good about mastering a difficult game with repeated plays. While the randomized obstacles was initially built in to keep the rogue-like nature of “I am Barbarian” fresh for players every time they start over, they are less likely gain confidence because there’s no sense of familiarity to build upon.

To improve first time gamer’s experience, the obstacle sequence was fixed and all the slack in between were trimmed to make the game tighter and harder. This would enable players to then memorize the rhythm of the game over time, and prepare them to get past the thrilling acrobatic displays of cascading bricks, stiff-necked giraffes falling over and swinging levers.

There are plans for an “I am …” series of Super Casual Games, so the first installment is expected to go through a few rounds of adjustments till satisfactory metrics are achieved.

As noted by many indie developers, game making is a mix of art, science and luck. Nobody really knows what is going to work until the players show their hand. And while analytics can help developers narrow down issues with the game, developers still need to rely on their instincts to tweak their work until they achieve a desired baseline. In the case of “I am Barbarian”, its developer hopes to get its players to save the Princess at least once.

Koh built the game with some input from his four year old son in his spare time over a course of two months. The game was later officially released under OrionArts. On the style differences and branding concerns, Koh explains “Sustaining a game development studio is hard, especially in Singapore where talents are hard to find and manpower cost is expensive. We’ve been working on 2 rather ambitious projects for the past year and have not had any showing in the App Stores for quite some time now. I’m hoping this mini game could generate some buzz and extra income for our studio meantime. Doing something– anything, is always better than doing nothing.”

Device Requirements:
* iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch
* Requires iOS 8.0 or later
* 10.6 MB

Pricing and Availability:
I am Barbarian 2.0 is Free (with in-app purchase) and available worldwide through the App Store in the Games category. It is also available on Google Play and Windows Store for free. Play on your mobile or PC if you have upgraded to Windows 10. For more information about the company and its works, please visit OrionArts online, or contact Siang Leng Koh.

PopChar X 7.5 supports insertion of combined emoji characters

No Comments

Perg, Austria – Ergonis Software today released PopChar X 7.5, an improved version of the company’s award-winning tool for finding and inserting special characters and exploring fonts. PopChar X 7.5 adds support for combined emojis in the Apple Color Emoji font. These symbols are created by linking multiple emoji characters with a special “zero width joiner” character. Up to eight different characters are needed to create such combinations. For example, the family symbol with a man, a woman, and a boy consists of seven Unicode characters. With PopChar, you do not need to know the required sequences and how to generate them. Just look at the “Combined Emojis” section of Apple Color Emoji and click one of the symbols to insert it in your document.

PopChar X 7.5 furthermore enhances the “Font Info” view, which now contains information about the font format (OpenType, TrueType, PostScript). The keyboard shortcut for opening the PopChar window may now include the enter key, and starting a search for characters no longer requires to select the search field first. PopChar X 7.5 finally adds many further enhancements that improve overall speed and stability. Visit Ergonis Software’s website to learn more about the changes in this release and to download a trial copy.

PopChar solves a problem faced by every technologist and multi-lingual worker. Inserting special characters into application documents can be frustrating and results in a steady loss of productivity. With PopChar, thousands of special characters are only a few clicks away. Just pop up the PopChar window, click the desired character, and the character appears in your current document right away.

System Requirements:
PopChar X 7.5 requires Mac OS X 10.6 or newer and is compatible with OS X El Capitan (10.11).

Availability and Ordering:
PopChar X can be purchased securely on the Ergonis Software website. The upgrade to PopChar X 7.5 is free for anyone who owns a license for PopChar X 7 or purchased a license for PopChar X 6 on or after March 1st 2014. Upgrade paths are available for customers who purchased their license before that date. For information about purchases, including enterprise licenses, volume discounts, and upgrade pricing offers, see the company’s web site. No Comments

Guangzhou, China – Adeptshare today is proud to announce the release and immediate availability of PDF Decrypter Pro 1.0 for Mac OS X, their easy to use utility developed to decrypt any password-protected PDF files. The app allows anyone to decrypt a protected PDF file, offering them the ability to easily edit, print, select text and graphics for use in other documents, and more.

Occasionally, Mac users will receive PDF documents that are protected via an owner password, which usually restricts a number of actions. Restricted actions can include: editing, printing, copying text & graphics to use in other documents, and more. PDF Decrypter Pro is a compact, simple to use OS X utility created to do one just thing, and to do it well, decrypt password protected PDF files. Following decryption, anyone can make use of the PDF file in any way they wish.

“Encrypted PDF files are difficult to work with, resulting in needless frustration and extra work on the recipient’s part,” says Adeptshare CEO Zhong Linhua. “Using PDF Decrypter Pro, anyone can quickly and easily remove all password protection from any encrypted PDF document. This allows them to make use of the information contained in the document in any way they wish to.”

Features:
* Quickly decrypts encrypted PDF files
* Removes restrictions on printing, editing, copying
* Easy drag-and-drop file selection
* Handles 40-bit RC4 encryption, 128-bit RC4 encryption, and AES encryption
* Decrypted files can be edited like any other PDF document
* Supports the PDF 1.8 format (formerly only supported by Acrobat 9.0)

PDF Decrypter Pro offers easy drag-and-drop file selection, or users can select multiple files via the cleanly designed file selection interface. Once files have been selected for decryption, a simple click of the button immediately begins the speedy decryption process. Users can track the decryption process, which is handily displayed in the Results Column.

PDF Decrypter Pro users love the app:

“Many thanks. A very useful tool. I don’t have the full Adobe Acrobat installed on my new laptop, so PDF Decrypter Pro is a great help as I want to remove the restrictions on a particular document right now.” – Iain B, DonationCoder user

“Nothing is more annoying than being sent a password protected PDF and having to track down the sender to get the password. Much appreciated. I have re-tweeted this and posted it on my Facebook page.” – Tom Draxler

The compact and well-designed PDF Decrypter Pro application can remove various types of encryption, including: 40-bit RC4, 128-bit RC4, and AES encryption. The app also allows removal of editing restrictions from compressed files and unencrypted data. And while the application doesn’t require Adobe Acrobat to be installed for its operation, it is compatible with all versions of the Acrobat application.

PDF Decrypter Pro cannot:
* Remove or find the user/open password automatically
* Remove other protections, such as DRM or third-party plug-ins
* Enable Acrobat Reader to save forms and data locally, add comments, or add digital signatures

“Our app prevents the frustration of needing to recreate a protected file when the password has been lost, or the employee that originally encrypted the document is no longer with the company,” continues Linhua. “Retyping the content of a password-protected PDF file is something most users do not want to do. PDF Decrypter Pro saves users the hassle of creating an entirely new document from scratch.”

System Requirements:
* OS X 10.6.6 or later
* 64-bit processor
* 10.2 MB

17 Year Old Gets Into iOS App Store Charts With His Game Type In Time

No Comments

London, United Kingdom – Nine months after the release of seventeen year old Ashley Burnett’s iOS & Android game “Type In Time”, it has hit the charts in key markets such as the UK, USA and Australia. Type In Time is a mobile game, developed by the seventeen year old over the summer when he was just sixteen years old. He has marketed it as the “World’s Hardest Mobile Game” due to the aim of the game. In Type In Time, a three letter word pops up and you have to type that word in just one second. If you manage to type the word, you get a point and the process repeats. If you don’t manage to type the word in time, you’ll be presented with a game over screen.

The success of the game is due to a marketing campaign led by Ashley Burnett. After creating a 20 second video on Facebook, featuring emoji’s and popular music from Drake, he paid Facebook to drive views to the video. The video in question is now nearing 1 million views, 750 likes and over 300 comments. Ashley Burnett has told us that the game now has over 40,000 downloads and it’s mainly thanks to this advertisement.

“I created that Facebook advert back in January 2016 and it was successful back then, as I gained 1,000 downloads the day after creating the video. After that I wasn’t spending a lot of money a day and was getting a good decent of downloads, about a hundred downloads a day. Therefore on Saturday I decided to go all in and spend a considerable chunk of my bank account on the video advert. I spent a bit less than GBP100 in 24 hours, which is a lot for me, but it propelled the game into the iOS App Store charts. I was above games with huge budgets such as Words with Friends by Zynga and The Simpsons: Tapped Out by EA. As I do not have a lot of money I had to drop the advertising budget, so the game will probably fall out of the charts soon.”

Type In Time peaked in the charts on Sunday, 22nd May 2016 where the game was in the charts in key markets such as the United States, the United Kingdom and Australia. According to AppAnnie.com, it was featured as a “What’s Hot” word game in Australia, and achieved multiple impressive positions in the App Store charts. In Australia, it was the number 1 word game in the whole country, the 22nd most downloaded Arcade game, the 45th most downloaded game overall and the 140th downloaded app on the whole App Store in Australia. In the UK, a considerably harder market to tap into, it achieved number 4 on the word games charts, number 37 on the arcade game charts, number 86 on the overall game charts and became the 228th most downloaded app in the whole UK. In the hardest market on the App Store – the United States – it was the 48th most downloaded word game, the 37th most downloaded arcade game, the 263rd most downloaded arcade game and the 1000th most downloaded game in the whole United States.

According to AppAnnie, Type In Time also charted in major countries such as Canada, New Zealand, Ireland, France and Germany. Ashley Burnett told us “The game was actually the 38th most downloaded app in the whole of New Zealand back in January. It’s a cool feeling knowing your game is being played around the world.” Ashley Burnett learned to develop games when he was just 15 years old, using tutorials he found on the internet. “I learned how to code in Java when I was 15 using a video tutorial site called Udemy. I then looked at tutorials when I was 16 for a game engine called LibGDX. I started off making games that were quite bad. I eventually got better and I released Type In Time in September 2016 which isn’t a masterpiece but it’s much better than the previous games I would make.” The London teenager is still in school and hopes to start University soon.

Ashley Burnett believes the game could be a viral hit and become the next Flappy Bird with the right marketing. “I think the game is gaining so many downloads when I advertise it because it’s so difficult. It pulls in people the same way that Flappy Bird once did. People get addicted to competing with their friends and end up spending a lot of time playing the game. With the right exposure I think it could become the next Flappy Bird. The success of my advert with limited funding shows that it has potential.”
