Perg, Austria – With the release of version 6.6, Ergonis Software GmbH celebrates the 10th anniversary of Typinator, their highly acclaimed text expander. Along this release, Ergonis Software published two new Typinator sets for easy access to the symbols in the new Apple Color Emoji font introduced in OS X Yosemite 10.10.3.

To celebrate Typinator’s 10th anniversary, Ergonis Software is offering a 25% discount on new purchases before July 15th, 2015. The offer is good for all Ergonis products, including PopChar and KeyCue.

Typinator has been a leader in the field of text expansion software since June 2005. With the release of the latest major version 6, which added more than 50 powerful new features and improvements, this leading role has been impressively underlined. The unique support for regular expressions, top marks for speed, robustness, and ease-of-use, make Typinator the clear number one in its field.

Typinator 6.6 continues along this path and improves the convenience of getting informed about and installing new versions. When a new version is available, you can now check the new features and enhancements before downloading the new version. The built-in installer has been adapted to new functions and appearance of Yosemite and helps with purchasing and updating licenses when the current license does not cover the new version. The new version now works with the Pinyin input methods for Chinese and uses less memory when idle. Besides that, it includes many other enhancements and offers improved compatibility with third-party products like 4th Dimension and MatLab.

Together with the new version 6.6, Ergonis Software released two new free sets to get the most out of the new Apple Color Emoji font that comes with OS X Yosemite 10.10.3.

The Emoji 3.0 set contains all skin tone variants of all applicable Emoji symbols. In addition to skin tones, the new version contains more consistent names and shows the standard Unicode names of the symbols.

The new Flags set allows you to easily insert color flags into your text, without requiring knowledge of the technical details behind the scene. Just type “flag” and the country code or a part of the country name into Typinator’s Quick Search field to enter the desired flag into your document.

The extra sets can be downloaded free of charge from www.ergonis.com/downloads/extras/ and installed into Typinator with just a double-click.

Typinator is a powerful, yet elegantly simple solution that boosts your productivity by automating the process of inserting frequently used text and auto-correcting typing errors. Across all applications, it detects specific sequences of typed characters and automatically replaces them with text snippets, graphics, URLs, dates and special characters.
