Naarden, Netherlands – AirBeamTV, today announced the official release of the Mirror for LG TV application for iPhone and iPad. This unique application provides the only way to mirror the screen and sound of your iPhone or iPad to your LG Smart TV without cables or additional hardware. The application works on newer iPhones (from iPhone 6S onwards), any iPad Pro and recent iPads (from the 5th generation onwards) which run iOS 11. On the TV side, the app requires an LG Smart TV from 2012 or newer.
“Last week we released the iOS app for Samsung TV”, says Jan van Ottele, co-founder and CEO. “Today, I am pleased to announce that our development team has finalized the LG TV version of the Mirror app for iPhone and iPad. There are numerous apps in the App Store that you can use to send photos and videos to LG TVs, but this is the only app that will allow you to mirror exactly what is on the screen of your iPhone or iPad to TV.”
To start screen mirroring, customers need to download the Mirror for LG TV app from the App Store. Before using the app, Screen Recording should be enabled in the iPhone Control Centre. The Company provides a video tutorial and a step-by-step guide on how to do this. After enabling Screen Recording in Control Centre, users can use the app to select their LG TV, which will be automatically discovered on the local network. After selecting, a user can slide up Control Centre from within any app, long press screen recording and start mirroring.
The application can be used to share photos and videos or any other iOS app with friends and family on TV, and is also useful in business meetings, where a presenter wants to present directly from his iPhone or iPad on TV.
