Casselberry, Florida – Econ Technologies releases ChronoSync 4.7.3 with several new features and fixes. ChronoSync is the complete sync, backup, and bootable backup app for the Mac. ChronoSync can backup and sync to anything you can connect to a Mac: external drives, thumb drives, NAS drives, remote Macs, PC’s and cloud services. As always, this is a free update for all existing users.
ChronoSync 4.7.3 contains enhancements pertaining to Amazon S3 cloud service and S3 compatible cloud services. With the recent release of ChronoSync 4.7 ChronoSync added the ability to directly connect to cloud services and is able to backup and synchronize files to virtually anything that can connect to a Mac. Several minor bugs were fixed in addition to the enhancements implemented in ChronoSync 4.7.3.
ChronoSync 4.7.3 Enhancements
* Implemented support for v4 authentication of AWS S3 commands.
* Updated the predefined set of AWS S3 endpoints to include all the latest, v4-only regions.
* Added the capability to specify a region identifier within the parenthesis to support future regions, or regions associated with S3 compatible services. If this syntax is used, the region identifier must be followed by /v4 or else v2 authentication will be used. An example of such an endpoint specification is: https://an-s3-enpoint-url.com (region-identifier/v4)
* Pre- and Post- sync shell scripts now receive an additional argument, the ‘Run Mode’ of the sync. 0=Standard, 1=Trial Sync and 2=Scheduled Sync.
