Coeur d’Alene, Idaho – DEVONtechnologies updates its mobile document and information manager DEVONthink To Go for the iPhone X and adds new options for editing PDF and tables. The Info sheet can change flags and labels for more than one document at once, e.g., for quickly marking multiple items as read. Version 2.4 captures office documents from web pages and allows to queue multiple databases for importing from sync stores. It uses clipboard content for new documents now only on demand and comes with more reliable Files app support. The update improves the overall performance, too, and fixes a number of bugs and glitches. It’s free and recommended for all users.

DEVONthink To Go is DEVONtechnologies’ document and information management solution for iOS. What’s new in DEVONthink To Go 2.4:
Besides adjusting its interface for the iPhone X, version 2.4 extends its document editing capabilities and a new editor for editing table-like data. It’s now possible to move, duplicate, rotate, and delete PDF pages as well as to insert new empty pages into a document. The sheet editor allows creating and editing sheets containing tabular data. Earlier versions of DEVONthink To Go only displayed sheets synchronized from a Mac. Sheets are stored as portable plain text CSV (comma-separated values) files.

The Info popover for groups and documents is now able to work with multiple selected items at once. This allows users to quickly mark, e.g., multiple items as read, flagged, or locked. Clip to DEVONthink captures also office documents from web pages now, and the assistant uses the clipboard content for new documents only on demand. Version 2.4 colors the locked icon for better visibility , sorts databases case-independently, and makes the Unread smart group more useful by marking documents not immediately as read when they’re opened.

PDF is the no. 1 document format for many of our users. The new PDF editing capabilities of version 2.4 let them delete unnecessary pages, adjust the page order of, e.g., scanned documents, or even insert empty pages for hand-written notes or annotations. And for all table-like data from address lists to scientific data there are CSV tables that can now be edited inside DEVONthink To Go. This is what our users know from the Mac and rightfully expect so also on iOS,” comments Eric Bohnisch-Volkmann, President of DEVONtechnologies.

On the synchronization side DEVONthink To Go 2.4 lets users queue multiple databases for importing from sync stores at the same time. This greatly speeds up configuring DEVONthink To Go with more than one database on a new device. When downloading content it now also uses all available sync locations, merges changes more efficiently, and speeds up the sometimes necessary automatic sync store optimization.

Finally, the update improves Files app support as well as the overall performance and responsiveness of the app itself. It’s free and highly recommended for all users.
