Funnel is a Mac App that automatically renames and organizes your photos and videos into a structured file system. Simply drag and drop files, folders, drives, or devices onto Funnel’s drop screen and it will find, sort, and rename your photos and videos using Exif and other metadata.

Funnel is a great tool for automated organization. It can save you time, frustration, and disk space without worrying if you have or have not already backed up the files you are adding. Unsure if something is backed up? Just drop it on Funnel and let it check. Files that have already been added are rejected, files that aren’t present are allowed into the archive folder and are organized.

Media types supported include: All RAW Formats supported by Mac, JFIF, JPG, JPF (JPEG 2000), PNG, TIFF, GIF, Bitmap, Adobe PSD and PSB, MPO, SVG, MOV, MP4, M4V, WMV, MPG, AVI, DVs, iTunes media files, 3GP, 3G2, and M2V.

All file types can be filtered.

Funnel keeps sidecar files with their main files. (e.g. if you import a RAW image and it has an associated Adobe Digital Negative (DNG) it will be imported as well)

Sidecar files currently supported are: Apple AAE, Adobe(R) Digital Negative (DNG), WAV, GoPro LRV, THM, and XMP.
