Naarden, Netherlands – After the global success of its screen mirroring products for MacOS, AirBeamTV today announced the official release of the Mirror for Samsung TV app for iPhone and iPad. This unique application mirrors the screen and audio of your iPhone or iPad to any Samsung Smart TV. No additional hardware needed and you can mirror any app on your iPhone or iPad to your Samsung TV.
Airplay Mirroring has been around on since WWDC 2011, however only for iPhone and iPad users who also have an AppleTV. AirBeamTV is the first company worldwide who made it possible to mirror screen and audio from iOS devices to Samsung Smart TVs.
To start screen mirroring, customers need to download the Mirror for Samsung TV app from the App Store. Before using the app, Screen Recording should be enabled in the iPhone Control Centre. The Company provides a video tutorial and a step-by-step guide on how to do this. After enabling Screen Recording in Control Centre, users can use the app to select their Samsung TV, which will be automatically discovered on the local network. After selecting, a user can slide up Control Centre from within any app, long press screen recording and start mirroring.
“At WWDC 2017, Apple announced that they have extended the functionality of the ReplayKit framework”, explains Demid Borodin, co-founder and Director of Video Technology. “This extended functionality opened the door for us to bring our popular Mirror for Samsung TV app also to iOS. Before iOS 11, we only supported macOS, now everybody with a modern iPhone and iPad can directly mirror to his Samsung TV.”
Mirror for Samsung TV runs only on newer iPhones (from iPhone 6S onwards), any iPad Pro and recent iPads (from the 5th generation onwards) which run iOS 11. Due to the processing power needed for screen mirroring, the app can not be downloaded by older iPhones and iPads. The app works with any Samsung Smart TV from 2012 onwards.
