Bath, United Kingdom – Sperensis Applications are pleased to announce the rerelease of Minion for Mac. The software allows you to monitor long running tasks including movie renders, file downloads, and file transfers. Once a task is complete, Minion will notify you via SMS, email or on your Mac and iOS device.

Minion for Mac was acquired in February 2015 from ClickOnTyler. “Not even a Sloth would sit at a computer for an hour watching a progress bar move an inch. It’d probably try eating the keyboard or something.” Elucidated Andy Edwards, founder of Sperensis Applications. “My phone can make a fart sound. With this level of avant-garde technology, why do we continue to zombify at the sight of a long running task? Now with the progress of a torrent download or the completion of a backup, we can leave it to Minion.”

Minion can also notify the user when an application quits or becomes active, the CPU level changes, when a file appears or a pixel changes on the screen. This allows for progress bars to be monitored in software and on websites. With a free companion app for iOS, users can view the history of completed tasks.

With Sperensis Applications now in the driving seat of Minion, new development will bring supplementary features to the already extensive list of abilities. Emphasis has been placed on continued expansion of the iOS app with the prospect of iWatch integration.
