Boston, Massachusetts – Dyscourse, the new psychological survival adventure game from Owlchemy Labs (Snuggle Truck, Jack Lumber), will be completing its crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter in only three days. The PC/Mac/Linux game, which tasks players to survive on a mysterious island in the aftermath of a freak plane crash, features a large branching narrative, multiple endings, and group-dynamics as part of its core experience.
Dyscourse features a bonus ‘Indie Plane Crash’ scenario containing cameos by ten beloved independent game developers. Players will explore the resulting antics of a group of highly regarded game industry professionals who are “technically talented, but utterly useless in survival situations.” Since announcing the game, Owlchemy has released daily Dyscourse updates to announce various additions:
* The “Indie Plane Crash” bonus story with 10 indie cameos including Tim Schafer and Edmund McMillen
* A reward update to show people how I’m going to be hand-laser-cutting certain swag at a local shop
* An update announcing that cats will be on the island
* A brand new gameplay video – 6 minutes of raw gameplay footage
* A tools update to show people how we are able to pull off this ambitious game design
* An embarrassing update showing some of Owlchemy’s top secrets
* David Helgason speaking out about how cool Dyscourse and Owlchemy are
* Silly interviews with a bunch of our team members, podcasts, and more
* Approval on Steam, meaning we’ll be giving out Steam keys for PC , Mac, and Linux
