Brisbane, Australia – Independent developer, Blue Quoll Digital has announced that its ‘The Three Bears and Goldilocks’ for iPad, iPad mini, iPhone 4 and 5 and iPod touch will be available on the App Store on the 13th of December 2013. This interactive picture book app, recommended for children ages 2 reinvents and rejuvenates this timeless classic, with the charm, inventiveness and artistic value that characterises all Blue Quoll productions.
In this third instalment of the ‘ReTold Tales’ series, children will be able to read the story themselves or have it read by the narrators, they will also be able to interact with each page of the story by tapping on the illustrations and revealing either sounds or speech balloons which, for the first time, are narrated out loud in all languages.
“We have extended notably the functionality of the PopUp Tap and discover feature compared to our previous app, Mr Wolf and the Ginger Cupcakes and Puss in Boots” says Vincenzo Pignatelli, Artistic Director and Founder of Blue Quoll Digital. “We made sure it is worth exploring each page for children as they get rewarded both visually and acoustically by a popping balloon, a sound or the voice of characters this time fully narrated by our narrators. The obvious advantage of having the content of the balloons narrated is that the story is now more engaging than ever even for small children who can not yet read”.
“It is getting increasingly difficult nowadays to ignite media attention using press releases for book apps, as expression such as ‘gorgeous illustrations’ or ‘enchanting narration’ are overused and are loosing their meaning” says Lucia Masciullo, lead Illustrator at Blue Quoll. “However our stories are truly beautiful as we spend unmeasurable time looking for really talented illustrators and original styles for our stories. This time the illustrations realised by Laura Wood, young and talented illustrator based in Melbourne, are vibrant, colourful and unique”.
The Three Bears and Goldilocks App follows the release of top selling in Italy, Apple-featured, Mr Wolf and the Ginger Cupcakes and Puss in Boots, The Great adventure and it’s going to be available in English, Italian, German, Spanish French, Simplified/Traditional Chinese and Japanese.
