Northampton, United Kingdom – Coding Grasshopper LTD today is thrilled to announce the release and immediate availability of Leo and Pals 2D Shapes 2.0, an update to their fun educational app for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch devices. Join Leo and his pals in the jungle in this fun educational app teaching children all about shapes and colour.
Used in schools in the UK, USA and Japan, Leo and Pals 2D shapes features 3 fun and engaging games teaching children the different properties of shapes in alignment with parts of the UK national curriculum and the US Common Core State Standards Initiative.
There are 3 difficulty levels each one introducing new shapes. Parents and teachers can set the difficultly level as the child progresses. As the child progresses they are awarded certificates. These certificates can be printed using Air Print in colour or as an outline so the child can colour them in themselves – giving the child a sense of achievement in their learning. Every game includes extensive learning reinforcement as well as assistance if the child is struggling, this should mean the child never becomes frustrated with the game and allows them to learn at their own pace.
A learn section is included that teachers the child the name and properties of each shape, this can be used to start the learning followed by playing the games to consolidate it. The grown-ups section has information about the games and the Leo and Pals brand for parents and teachers to learn more about the app. There are also worksheets included to allow parents and teachers to extend the learning outside of the app.
Version 2.0 introduces all new awards and certificates, with the ability to print certificates. With enhanced learning reinforcement, there is a Grown-ups section to get information on the games as well as to give a way of contacting the Leo and Pals team. Worksheets can also be printed for use outside the app.
