Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania – Independent developer, Eric Lombardo today is pleased to announce the release and immediate availability of GradeBook Pro 2.90 for iOS, an update to his powerful classroom management app designed to help teachers record grades and attendance. The application allows educators to organize their class lists and assignments, manage grades, track attendance, record behavior, and more. The latest version of GradeBook Pro includes a refreshed user interface to support iOS 7.0 as well as commonly requested features like letter grade entry. GradeBook Pro is featured in Apple’s “Apps for Teachers” category.

Recording student scores is easier than ever with the introduction of the new ‘short score’ feature. Simply assign an alphabetic shortcut to a score. Enter the shortcut while recording scores and the app will calculate the appropriate point value.
Teachers will benefit from the flexibility of a fully customizable grade scale for each class. See student letter grades right on the main view for quick reference. The student PDF reports include the assigned letter grade to make reporting even easier.
Educators will find it easy to put their assignments and grades in categories and manage their classes. The app features support for both weighted and standard, point-based grade scales. It also allows teachers to award extra credit and deduct penalty points. The assignment list generates average scores per assignment allowing teachers to monitor the overall class performance on each assignment.
GradeBook Pro automatically calculates the student grade, highest grade, category-specific grades, and the total point score for students. Teachers can even change grades on a student-by-student basis, making for an easy, customized management experience for every user.
Attendance can be tracked for various classes and terms, and the attendance record taken by the app can be emailed to students and parents or school administrators. It can also be easily turned into a PDF or exported via a CSV file.
See student photos on the main classroom view and while recording grades, behavior, or attendance. To add photos for students, the app allows users to take photos or assign photos from the device’s library to each student.
The app features other useful features to handle classroom data including the ability to copy categories, grade scales, assignments, or students from one section to another. For multiple sections of the same class, teachers can copy entire classes, which will carry over the set assignments and categories.
The app allows for teachers to email all types of data, so they may inform students or parents of their progress in the class. Grades, attendance, status, notes, and missing grades can all be exported easily by email through the application, making GradeBook Pro a great, interactive app for keeping teachers on top of their students’ activities as well as able to include parents or alert students for a better learning experience.
GradeBook Pro is a secure app that prevents unwarranted use with a personal passcode lock to launch the application. The data in the app is also secured; Dropbox users can backup and restore their data stress-free. Privacy is ensured by storing all data on the device, all reporting and backup features are optional.
“The latest version of GradeBook Pro offers educators the optimal tools for grading, attendance, student behavior, and overall classroom organization and management,” states developer Eric Lombardo.
