Los Angeles, California – Independent developer, Amit Wadhawan today is proud to announce the release and immediate availability of Zippy 1.0, a new task management app for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch. Zippy provides the user with a beautiful and intuitive user interface to quickly and easily add tasks and reminders. A first for any task management app is having a nifty infographic that provides your with insights on how and when you create and complete tasks which helps you get better at managing and completing them.

“The goal from the outset was simplicity.” said creator Amit Wadhawan. “Most apps you see out there have you create a task first, then edit it with swipes and taps to add in reminder times, tags, etc. With Zippy, that’s all part of creating the task that just flows and makes the whole process effortless and quick. The idea was to not spend time creating and organizing a task but focusing on knowing what needs to get done.”

Zippy’s infographic of insights encourages you to act on those tasks and helps you see how you can get better with managing them. Insights such as your completion rate and breakdowns by ‘completed early’ or ‘how late’. It also shows you what time of day and day of the week you tend to create tasks, when you tend to be most efficient in completing them, how far ahead you plan out your tasks, and how close to the due time you complete a task. You can filter the info graphic to track your task management and see how you’re doing this week, how you did last week, last month, etc.

Amit drew his inspiration for Zippy while working on another startup of his. “There are some great apps out there for creating tasks and organizing them but none of them encourage you to act on them or go back and make sure you’re doing what you need to. The idea of Insights was to keep you motivated and always have a reason to go back to the app and see what you need to get done. It’s made me better at managing my tasks and also helps me setup realistic goals that I know I can achieve. Unlike other apps, Zippy isn’t for making your grocery list. It’s for knowing when to get what done and doing it.”

“Ever since I can remember, I’ve loved building things that are simple and beautiful,” continued Wadhawan. “From the desk I work on, a waterfall in my parents backyard to an app for travel. I don’t discriminate in what I build. I come from a background in Finance earning my college degrees in it and also working as a banker but in 2010, I decided that I wanted to do something more meaningful with my life. Since then, I’ve brought together my love for building, design and technology; taught myself to code and follow my heart to build technology that’s useful and simplifies.”
