San Diego, California – Dexteria Dots, the new math app from BinaryLabs, has been named a Best New App in Education by Apple, and is being featured on the App Store. It is the latest app in the Dexteria Family of Apps, which are all focused on the cognitive and physical development of young kids.
“It’s very exciting to get this kind of recognition right out of the gate with our new app,” said Frank Jensen, President of BinaryLabs. “Dexteria Dots is the next step on our product roadmap, and places us firmly in the Education category to complement our other apps in Education and Medical.”
The app takes a unique, intuitive approach to math education and supports many of the Common Core Standards for early mathematics education. Rather than the typical “drill-and-kill” type of app, Dexteria Dots features intuitive gesturing and multiple representations of numbers and relative value, resulting in understanding at the conceptual level.
“Many of our customers are teachers, and with the increase in the use of iPads in schools, we want to continue to provide top quality apps that are easy to use and can be easily integrated into their lesson plans,” said Jensen.
