Utrecht, Netherlands – Independent development company, 1951FDG is proud to announce the release of SixtyFour 1.2.0, a unique memory optimizer for Mac OS X. SixtyFour’s core purpose is to improve performance of older Macs or Macs short on RAM. SixtyFour enables Mac users to keep their Macs running longer, but running better.

SixtyFour facilitates the setting of a preference to force a 64-bit app to open in 32-bit mode. On older systems that have little memory available, it is advisable to open an app in 32-bit mode. Apps running in 32-bit mode use significantly less memory than apps running in 64-bit mode. Opening a 64-bit app in 32-bit mode, reduces its memory usage by at least 10% and commonly as much as 50%.

Running most if not all apps in 32-bit mode on systems that have little memory available can potentially lead to an increase in overall system performance. SixtyFour is the ideal app for users who intend to run more apps at the same time, and, at the same time, wish to maintain system performance, but can’t upgrade to the newer, faster Macs with more RAM!

System Requirements:
SixtyFour is compatible with any 64-bit-capable Mac running Mac OS X 10.5 or higher (including Mac OS X 10.9 Mavericks).

Pricing and Availability:
SixtyFour 1.2.0 currently costs $4.99. For complete information on SixtyFour and to download the latest version, please visit SixtyFour’s homepage.
