ATLANTA, Ga – Atlanta, Georgia – NetSpot, the award-winning wireless network survey app for Mac, has released version 2.4, bringing preliminary support for OS X 10.10 Yosemite and ten new features that make Wi-Fi surveys even more effortless. Network professionals now have even better control over the settings and options that help them customize their survey reports.
NetSpot 2.4 by Etwok, LLC brings a unified Preferences section to the app, putting all the settings in one place. New features now accessible from Preferences include the ability to add an iperf3 server address for active scanning via TCP and/or UDP, import and export global AP aliases, and auto-clear old Discover Mode data.
Discover Mode in NetSpot 2.4 has also been enhanced, with more options available from the right-click menu and the ability to set custom colors for each network in the Detail charts. Two other often requested new features are the ability to skip all further tests if an error occurs during Active Scanning, and the ability to add a heatmap legend when exporting heatmaps as images.

NetSpot 2.4 is available in Free, PRO and Enterprise editions. The Free version is perfect for the home user that does not need advanced features like report exporting, AP alias management and active scanning. The PRO version offers advanced features for network professionals. The Enterprise version is designed for companies that need multiple users and installations. NetSpot received a MacWorld Editor’s Choice Award in 2012.
