The new Tally Board keeps the best of its former self – the smart math strategy challenges, the deceptively simple logic and math skill challenges – but combines its strengths with features like a helpful tutorial, new gameplay “superpowers,” and a smooth new interface designed with the devoted Tally Board player in mind.
“Basically, you tap two numbers on the chalkboard that add or multiply to a third nearby number, or even a fourth,” explains Kristoffersen. “When you’re solving these simple equations, you open up more squares on the board, but you’re also opening up your mind. Tally Board is so much fun that you don’t even notice how much your brain is engaged and sharpened, or how much you have to think ahead in your strategy. All of that mental exercise is just as fun and necessary for kids as it is for their elders.”
The “superpowers” are now even more useful, and you get more of them. You can choose them if you really need to, or you can simply swipe during the game to add a needed new number – but too many times, and you’re out! Solve the game successfully, and you’re ready for an even more challenging level.
Tally Board is now free with ad support, but the ads can be removed for $0.99 if you choose. The new version offers a 10-pack of usable upgrades for $0.99 designed to make the game a little easier too.
