Pfaeffikon, Switzerland – Power App today announces an update of their app Air PDF for iOS. The release of version 2.9.0 adds optical character recognition to the functionality of the app.

Air PDF is a file manager for iOS which is able to convert most file types into ready to use pdf documents. After having introduced a text editing tool Power APP added optical character recognition, increasing the versatility and functionality of Air PDF.
Sharing and saving options include various clouds as well as internal sources. The combination of file managing, file converting and optical character recognition makes Air PDF an effective helper in many situations.

“Since Air PDF is able to handle most file types in various ways, we found that optical character recognition is a very useful addition to the app. In combination with the text editor and the file manager Air PDF offers now what usually is most needed when working on a mobile device: A quick way to change, convert, share and save files. Being able to scan a document with OCR adds to that functionality,” explains Christian Schaffner, GM of Power APP.
