Vienna, Austria – Eternal Storms Software today released an update to their popular screenshot tool for Mac, ScreenFloat. The update to version 1.5 comes with a slew of new features, including timed screenshots and posting to ImageShack as well as many improvements and bug fixes. ScreenFloat lets users create screenshots that float above all windows to keep information visible at all times without having to resize or move windows. Shots can be kept for later use and organized in the app’s Shots Browser.
Transferring information from a window, space or app to another can be cumbersome. You have to keep switching back and forth, making sure not to miss anything. Valuable time is lost. ScreenFloat creates floating screenshots to combat exactly that. Take a screenshot of the relevant portion of your screen and it pops up floating above all windows, apps and spaces. Now you can switch to the target window and comfortably and easily copy down the info you needed.
Shots are stored in ScreenFloat’s Shots Browser where they can be titled, tagged and categorized with the help of “Smart Categories” based on different criteria, like Smart Folders in Finder.
New in Version 1.5 of ScreenFloat (amongst others)
* Compatibility with OS X 10.9 Mavericks
* Timed Shots; take floating shots with a delay
* Shots can now be posted to ImageShack
* Shots can now be printed
* Many more improvements and bug fixes
Timed Shots allow for Shots to be taken not immediately but with a short delay and are useful in various scenarios, such as when trying to capture an application’s menu.
While sharing Shots through flickr, Twitter, Facebook, iMessage eMail and AirDrop has already been possible, sometimes you just want to quickly upload a Shot and get a URL to it for embedding or sharing. ScreenFloat now allows for quickly posting Shots to ImageShack to do exactly that.
System Requirements:
* OS X Lion or newer
* 4.2 MB of free disk space
Pricing and Availability:
ScreenFloat 1.5 is available exclusively on the Mac App Store for $6.99/5.99 Euro. A free 15 day trial is available for download from the developer’s website.
