London, United Kingdom – Phantom Fish today is proud to announce the release of Byline 5, a major update to the popular RSS feed reader for iOS. Byline has been in the App Store since the day it opened in 2008. Most iOS apps don’t have such a long shelf life, but Phantom Fish have completely revamped every part of Byline 5 to take advantage of the latest features offered by iOS 9 and Apple’s latest hardware. On the latest iPhones you can use 3D Touch to Peek and Pop, and access Quick Actions from the home screen.
Byline 5 uses Background App Refresh to sync with Feedly and cache images from your feeds, and if you choose it can cache the full web pages for offline reading too. This new version lets you sync up to a whopping 10,000 articles, and allows you to discover new feeds right inside the app.
“Byline’s offline browsing features mean you’ll always have something to read on that long flight or subway journey,” said Milo Bird, the developer of Byline. “Byline 5’s new interface adapts itself beautifully to your screen size, from the lowly iPhone 4s to the mighty iPad Pro.”
