Recently piloted by a world-renowned cancer hospital in New York City and used by 110 organizations across 35 states, OhMD allows for simple, secure communication between healthcare providers, care teams and patients. Secure and efficient communication improves the patient experience and health outcomes while decreasing the cost of care in alignment with value-based care initiatives.
Studies show that physicians and other healthcare professionals are already texting regularly. OhMD allows healthcare providers and their care teams to have HIPAA-compliant text message conversations from their iPhone, Android, or desktop device, and these text conversations can be automatically stored in the electronic health record (EHR). The OhMD premium solution features functionality for healthcare providers to collect patient-reported data, broadcast messages, improve medication and care plan adherence through text reminders, and distribute educational materials while providing the type of healthcare experience patients want.
