Copenhagen, Denmark – Musio 2.0, an iOS music player, has just received its first major update focused on design and usability. Musio is a new take on the iOS music player inspired by Mailbox for iOS and its gesture-based interaction. Relative to other music applications on the App Store, Musio stores metadata of the users local music library, allowing the user to manage whether or not a particular song is in Playlist and/or Queue. The ability to manage a Queue has been a highly demanded feature since iTunes received ‘Up Next’ on desktop years ago.

A very interesting aspect of V2 is the option of enabling blurred backgrounds for the complete list of your albums. This is available for users that have a high-performance device such as 5, 5C or 5S. The next update of Musio, coming early January 2014, will add iTunes Match as a way to access and listen to your music. In the months to come, the team will focus on the integration of streaming services like Spotify and Rdio within the application.

Musio was first released within Apple’s App Store on October 6th 2013. The application was highly praised for its minimalistic design matching iOS7, as well as being a new approach to interact with your music library.
