Culver City, California – Quackenworth, fresh off its selection as a winner in the Bill & Melinda Gates Literacy Courseware Challenge, announced today that it has released its Beginning Writing: Letters and Numbers app on iTunes. The app teaches preschool students how to write letters and numbers. In addition, children can listen to and watch examples of animated numbers and letters, practice writing on their own, and capture an image of their work and save it to their device’s photo gallery.

The app is part of the Witty Bitty Bunch Pre-school readiness series which is a mix of interactive apps that teach children basic literacy skills including short and long vowel sounds, rhyming, reading rhythm, and sight words. The other apps in the series include Pete Has Big Feet, Joe Has a Sore Toe, Kim Likes to Swim, Jenny Found a Penny, Mike Has a Bike, and Paul is Tall. Each app includes animated characters, professional narration, and vocabulary activities. Quackenworth’s apps are available on iTunes.
