Toronto, Canada – Springbay Studio Ltd. today is proud to announce the release of Biome-Wetland 1.0.5, an update to their popular educational game for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch. This new version includes the added capability of restarting any domes in the game from scratch, and the ability to control sound while playing. The new features were suggested by teachers and parents who love this game. These upgrades enhance the playing experience, allowing students and teachers alike to play and teach in classrooms with shared tablets.
“iBiome-Wetland has been well-received by teachers and parents alike for its tremendous educational value,” said Jane Ji, president of Springbay Studio. “We already know that kids love building dome after dome. We want to continue enhancing the user experience by adding in more features to make the game more conducive to use in the classroom.”
iBiome-Wetland is an educational game aimed towards teaching ecology and biology concepts featured in curriculum for grades 5-7. The game challenges players to master the dynamics of the wetland environment through experimentation.
What exactly is the experimentation? It’s simple but addictive: players introduce environmental factors, plants and animals into “crazy web,” a mix-and-match game. With a shake of the device, a test is conducted. If the combination is successful, players unlock more levels and species, which go towards building thriving bio domes. In doing so, players learn key concepts taught in many early grade school curriculum.
