Toronto, Canada – Catlifter is a side-scrolling casual helicopter game inspired by classics such as ‘Choplifter’. Players pilot an RC helicopter in order to rescue their adorable feline friends who have been imprisoned by pesky garden gnomes.

Armed with bombs to drop, the player must avoid or shrink the gnomes and their traps while making way towards the kitty carrier where the cat is imprisoned. Once the player successfully maneuvers into position they must bait the kitty out by dropping catnip. With 30 increasingly challenging levels to tackle, ‘Catlifter’ is tongue-in-cheek fun for the whole family.

Designer Adam Clare says, “I wanted to make a game that both my nephew and my mother would enjoy! He’s a fan of helicopters and anything cute, and she’s a fan of saving cats. Catlifter is the perfect game for both of them.”

Catlifter releases today in North America priced at $0.99 USD. It requires iOS 5.0 or better and is compatible with iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch.

Developer Wero Creative expects the game will appeal to anyone who wants a “cutesy” challenge and has a mild distaste for garden gnomes. “You just can’t trust them,” says Designer Adam Clare. “Who knows what they’re really up to – out there on the lawn – and why they want our cats. One thing for sure, the gnomes are planning something big!”
