San Francisco, California – dachs, LCC is proud to today announce the release and immediate availability of dachs 1.1 for the iPhone, an important update to their app that allows dog owners to find vetted, on-demand dog walkers at a moment’s notice. The app allows dog owners who find themselves too busy at work, trapped in a traffic jam, or just looking for some quiet time at home, to find a professional dog walker to give their beloved pet the much-needed attention and exercise that the pet deserves. Version 1.1 includes performance enhancements and bug fixes.
With dachs, anyone can simply open the app on their iPhone, and beacon a licensed, pre-screened, and customer reviewed dog walker who is eager to become their dog’s next best friend. After matching with a nearby walker, users can then quickly book a walk for their pet, usually in 30 seconds or less – no matter where they are, or what they’re currently doing. Book a walker on-demand, and if you’re not home, let the walker know where to find the door key. It’s just that simple.
“We’re pet lovers, and we know what it’s like when you can’t take the time from your busy schedule to give your dog the proper attention they need,” shared dachs co-founder Brad Dickinson, “That’s why we created dachs. Within seconds, you can find a vetted dog walker that will be happy to give your pet some much needed attention and exercise.”
When a user sets up their profile in the dachs app, they will be prompted to enter all the important information about their dog. The dachs profile will include such helpful information such as: a photo of the pet, the pet’s personality, health, walking preferences, and any quirks the animal may have that the walker should know about. dachs’ certified dog walkers have experienced it all, so they’ll know just how to give any pet the best walking experience possible.
dachs even allows users to watch their pet’s walk in real-time. Owners can watch the progress of the walk every step of the way, with the ability to view points on the map where the dog pees, poops, or even gets a treat. Canine safety is dachs’ biggest priority, so they limit walkers to working with one client – and up to two pets – at a time. dachs even covers users with comprehensive insurance, just in case.
Features:
* Find vetted, on-demand dog walkers at a moment’s notice
* Dog walkers have access to all-important information about the dog
* Follow the pet’s walk on a continually updated map
* Walks are limited to no more than two dogs at once
* Scheduling and payment are both handled from within the app
dachs isn’t limited to being used by dog owners looking for a convenient way to have their pets get much needed exercise. The dachs app is also a great way for licensed, experienced, and well-reviewed dog walkers to find new clients for their services. Dog walkers simply setup a profile in dachs, entering information about their dog walking experience, and once a walker is approved, they can start connecting with dog owners who have need of their services.
Walkers will also know exactly what they’re getting themselves into with a new client, as all information about the pets they’ll be walking is available directly from the app. Walkers also don’t need to worry about billing, or communicating with their clients, the dachs app takes care of that!
Pet owners don’t have to worry about the walker their pet will be interacting with, as dachs requires all dog walkers to be licensed, vetted, and professional. dachs’ in-app rating system allows users to view a walker’s rating before making an appointment. dachs pays close attention to customer feedback and walker ratings to ensure that their service is the best that it can be. The company has a “three-strikes” policy, meaning that if a walker receives a rating of 3 or lower on 3 walks, dachs suspends their account. The company values the safety of their clients and their clients’ pets above all else.
“With two dogs at home, I have experienced first hand the need for a ‘dachs’ on many occasions,” says Chris Arsenault co-founder of dachs. “Whether I was stuck in the office after hours, or in need of peace and quiet at home…sometimes we all need a hand in making sure our pups get outside. This is the 1st truly ON-DEMAND service for dogs and dog owners – we believe that dachs will revolutionize the dog walk and eventually the industry as a whole.”
It has been famously said that San Francisco has more dogs in the city than it does children under 18, and that’s just one of the reasons the dachs app is kicking off their service in San Francisco, California first. The company is San Francisco-based, and knows a service such as dachs would be most welcome to the population of the city, which is known to be one of the most dog friendly cities in the United States. The homegrown service offers its San Francisco neighbors the opportunity to safely and easily find a dog walker that will give their “fur babies” the attention and exercise they need and deserve. dachs will be making the service available in other areas in the near future.
