Coeur d’Alene, Idaho – DEVONtechnologies, LLC updates all editions of its Internet search and research tool DEVONagent. The new version cleans up the user interface, comes with an improved see-also algorithm, is faster, and fixes some bugs. The updates are free and recommended for all users.

DEVONagent is DEVONtechnologies’ answer to the information flood: a research assistant equipped with artificial intelligence. DEVONagent Pro 3.9 introduces a new Inspectors pane unifying several other panes. It gives users access to page properties, objects retrieved by scanners, and related pages. Properties include the author’s name, the page description, keywords, and more. The retrieved objects such as, e.g., links, images, videos, or RSS feeds are presented in actionable lists. Therefore users can conveniently extract and re-use them. Finally, the See Also Inspector shows related pages from the archive, search runs, or retrieved from web search engines.

Further workflow enhancements include a new menu option to remove all search results from a selected domain. DEVONtechnologies has also heavily revised menus and keyboard shortcuts. This makes researching with DEVONagent easier and faster.

DEVONagent Pro and Express 3.9 are able to search the history of OS X Yosemite’s Safari 8.x. The Pro edition can also import it. In addition the developers of DEVONagent have improved the built-in see-also algorithm. Updated search and scanner plugins deliver more accurate results. Google plugins use the secure HTTPS protocol now. The audio and video scanners find also not only linked but also embedded AV materials.

To conclude with, version 3.9 of all editions optimizes the performance, e.g. by executing more tasks in the background. Memory management improvements make it possible to work even with huge lists of filtered links and domains in DEVONagent Pro.

“Our updates always come with many detail enhancements that make our users more productive. DEVONagent Pro 3.9 brings more than just that. The new Inspectors pane cleans up with the many panes in different places. And the new properties pane directly lists a lot of information otherwise buried in the HTML code of the web pages. With DEVONagent 3.9 research on the web has become even more frictionless than before,” comments Eric Bohnisch-Volkmann, President of DEVONtechnologies.
