Wellington, New Zealand – Solesignal Limited today is proud to announce the release of DraftCode 1.6, an important update to their popular PHP development App for iOS devices. Allowing offline development of PHP on iPad or iPhone, DraftCode features a code editor with PHP syntax coloring, a light and dark editor theme with variable font size, as well as an easy to use workspace to navigate files and folders. PHP code is executed using the included standard open source PHP v5.3.60. DraftCode also includes all typically available PHP extensions like MySQL, SQLite, OpenSSL, PDO, FTP, XML, SOAP and more.
DraftCode’s runtime provides the webserver environment for cookies, sessions, POST/GET/PUT, but is faster and more tightly integrated for development purposes. During execution PHP output is rendered in a WebKit based preview which behaves exactly like Mobile Safari, and which also displays and executes all browser side code (HTML, CSS, Javascript. AJAX) in the same way Mobile Safari would. During execution the DraftCode runtime allows inspection of session content or PHP errors, including highlighting of lines causing errors back in the code editor.
DraftCode is a first class iOS App, 64 Bit, with full iPad Pro and multitasking support and support for external keyboards. The app allows seamless and integrated development and execution of real world PHP applications, including leveraging Javascript or AJAX, all without requiring an internet connection or having to worry about complicated webserver installations. It is the perfect environment to learn PHP, play with ideas in the creative habit field of the iPad, or present you PHP App from your iOS device.
