Istanbul, Turkey – Mobile gaming studio Gram Games today is proud to announce it has secured additional funding for the expansion and growth of Railroad Gangs, its new free-to-play social strategy game for iPad, iPhone, and iPod touch. This $600,000 investment was primarily provided by the company’s original investor, Hummingbird Ventures. Additional funding was supplied by serial business angels Fabrice Grinda, Jose Marin, and Tunc Yalgin.
“Our goal is to provide gamers with easy-to-play but highly immersive mobile games that can create real bonds between players,” says Alpay Koralturk, CEO of Gram Games. “We care deeply about the teamplay aspect of traditional core games and believe there is a lack of such games for the non-core gamers on mobile. We have a very experienced and lean team of social gaming veterans. This new funding will enable us to bring the market multiple titles to test this thesis, starting with Railroad Gangs.”
Railroad Gangs challenges players to build and defend their city by recruiting and training an army of henchman, gathering resources, and teaming up with other players to build the most powerful union. Featuring vivid graphics and an easy-to-use interface, Railroad Gangs immerses players in the steam and steal-forged turn-of-the-century railroad era.

To build their city and expand their population, players must build resources like housing, storage for food and coin, and bakeries. In expanding their Guild, players choose from the three distinct classes of Warrior, Rogue, and Craftsman. Each class contains unique units that will create the gang’s legacy. Defense resources such as catapults, bomb towers, cannons, and waterguns can also be purchased to protect the city.
To gain fame and riches, players must build taverns to recruit and train their gang. Each level provides a variety of Henchmen, Alchemists, Saboteurs, Engineers, and many other unique heroes. These individuals can help defend the city as well as attack other towns to take revenge against the Don.
Railroad Gangs fosters a cooperative spirit by offering the option to join or create unions with other players from around the world. With the ability to strategize in real-time, players can donate troops to each other, trade resources, and even wage war against other unions while combining their strength of arms. In the Council, players can select individualized avatars and walk among fellow Union members.
