With the ability to understand text or talk, Groceries+ learns what users buy, and suggests what they need. Users can just write or say what they need, and Groceries+ adds it to their shopping list.

Need 5 pounds of potatoes? Simply enter or say, “5 pounds of potatoes from Walmart,” and Groceries+ will add potatoes to the shopping list, conveniently included in the Walmart shopping list. Anyone who shops at a number of different stores for their weekly shopping will appreciate the ability to specify which store an item should be purchased at. The feature is very handy for weekly sale items that are only available at a certain merchant.

In addition to noting which store the user wants to buy an item from, the app can also show only the items from the stores they’re currently shopping at. Users don’t need to have the items from Target and Whole Foods cluttering up their list if they’re at Walmart. Switching lists is merely a matter of two taps on the iPhone’s screen, and the list for a different store is displayed.

Users who have favorite brands of certain items can enter the brand name of the item as well as the generic name. This feature is especially helpful if someone else besides the user who created the shopping list is doing the shopping. If a user prefers Heinz Catsup over Hunt’s, they can specify the brand, so whoever is performing the shopping errands will be sure to pick up the correct brand.

If the shopper doesn’t have the Groceries+ app installed on their device, the current shopping list can be sent via a perfectly formatted email to the shopper’s device, ready to view in their email client. The entire shopping list can be sent, or just the items for a specific store can be shared. The flexibility of Groceries+ makes it easy for anyone to make use of the app’s features and capabilities.

Groceries+ also features a handy history tracker that displays recently purchased items, and makes them available to add to the current shopping lists with just a few taps. The ability to select multiple items from the list makes adding regularly purchased items to the shopping list a breeze. This feature is perfect for those items you pick up every week, like eggs and milk.

In its role as an intelligent shopping assistant, Groceries+ also learns what items the user adds to their shopping list most often, and remembers them. After awhile, the app will begin to make helpful suggestions about items that it thinks the user may have forgotten to add to the list. The app even tracks the details of the item purchased, and even where it was purchased. With just a few taps, the item is instantly added to the current shopping list, so users will be sure to pick it up the next time they shop. Forgetful shoppers will find this feature quite useful. No more forgetting to pick up Dad’s favorite flavor of ice cream.

Once shopping is finished, it’s simple to erase the old shopping list and prepare for the next week’s shopping. While items can be deleted from a shopping list as they’re put into the shopping cart, users can also simply shake their iPhone or iPad, and the entire list is erased, ready to begin the next shopping list. Users don’t need to worry about accidentally erasing the lists they’ve entered for other stores as the erase function clears only the list for the current store.

Groceries+ Apple Watch app allows any Watch user to view and edit their shopping list directly from their wrist. Users can leave their iPhone in their pocket, and work their way through their entire list with a few swipes and taps on their wrist. The Groceries+ Apple Watch app can even keep track of what has been bought, and display how many items are remaining on the shopping list.
