The app allows users to stream all of their media without worrying about their information being compromised. Zimly also simplifies the media sharing process, eliminating technical challenges like uploading files.

Users are able to sign up for Zimly by simply using a nine-digit number, Facebook or Google account. Because there is no traditional registration process collecting personal information, users can take comfort in the privacy and simplicity. There is virtually no setup required and no data center connected with the app.

The home media cloud service operates as a personal hard drive that is always connected directly to the user’s mobile device that has the ability to stream all types of media. It also keeps things simple for users, automatically converting nearly all file formats. The app can also display subtitles and lyrics, drawing from a database with more than 2.4 million song lyrics so users can finally prove to friends that they are singing the wrong words.
