Putney, Vermont – IGG Software today announced that its flagship family of iBank products have a new name, Banktivity. The name Banktivity is a result of combining bank + activity, which more closely aligns with IGG Software’s products and goals. “IGG Software’s financial apps do more than let you look at your finances, they help you to actively manage your finances,” says IGG Software’s CEO, Ian Gillespie. The new version of Banktivity is free for all existing iBank 5 customers.
iBank was first released in November 2003, where it quickly became known among Mac users as an exceptional personal financial management app. In the 13 years following, IGG Software released an additional four iBank products for Mac, as well developing iBank applications for iOS. The first of these was iBank for iPhone, released in 2009, and iBank for the iPad, released in 2012. With the new name of Banktivity replacing iBank, the products will retain their current version numbers to help keep things simple for current users.

Banktivity 5 is available for new users for $59.99 (USD) after a 30-day free trial through the IGG Software online store. Banktivity 5 for Mac is also available on the Mac App Store. Banktivity requires Mac OS X 10.9 or higher and is fully compatible with 10.11 El Capitan. Banktivity for iPad version 3.0 is $19.99 at the App Store exclusively, and requires iOS 9 or later. Banktivity for iPhone 3.0, also only for iOS 9, is also available at the App Store exclusively for $9.99. Banktivity Investor is a free App for the iPhone and iPad, available in the Mac App Store.
