Vilnius, Lithuania – After just a bit over a month after release, Jumsoft’s Money 5 for macOS and iOS gets a first feature release, which bumps the version number to 5.1 and brings advanced data encryption and security, with user interface improvements that enable more detailed insights into finance.

Money 5, released this March, was a highly anticipated release after Jumsoft’s previous Money 4. The new release was completely rebuilt in 64-bits, brought a gorgeous new user interface, streamlined across Mac and iOS versions of the app, and adopted the latest available features from Apple hardware and software to future-proof the app for generations of devices to come.

The 5.1 update is the first feature release for the new Money and is primarily based on customer requests. It adds two notable features: data encryption and security, and running balance, as well as technical and design improvements based on early customer feedback. The data security feature allows locking data with a password, which in turn encrypts it using advanced 256-bit AES encryption. It ensures that data is safely locked and encrypted on the device, on iCloud, and in transit. To make data unlocking quicker on the go, Money can be unlocked with Touch ID on supported iOS devices! The running balance is another widely-requested improvement, which adds an extra layer of detail to keep a close eye on the state of all accounts after each added transaction. These additions aside, 5.1 is Money’s largest update so far, bringing improvements to data synchronization, investment tracking, as well as overall improvements to the app’s reliability.

“Money 5.1 update marks the first step of our commitment to make Money 5 the best available finance tracker in the market for years to come. The new version of Money was eagerly anticipated by our amazing community of users, and we got tons of emails from users celebrating the new release and generously sharing their feedback on how they thought Money could evolve further,” said Algirdas Unguvaitis, CEO of Jumsoft. “We are very lucky to have such loyal users, who generously share their thoughts with us, and we listened to them all. This release is only the first stop on the exciting road we have planned ahead for Money!”
