Charleston, South Carolina – Together Learning Media, Inc. today is pleased to announce the release of Halloween Party App, its new collaborative app for kids. Halloween Party App brings a friendly and fun competition to small groups using just one iPad. Using slime, vampires, graveyards, and monsters along with a large variety of kid-centric exciting questions and riddles, Halloween Party App generates a ghastly atmosphere for Halloween night. The app makes playing with friends and family in a multi-player party game more fun than ever.
Intended for an audience of 6 to 12 year old monsters, princesses and even superheroes, Halloween Party App is one of kind on the iTunes store. This app features images of ghosts and ghouls, jokes, spooky trivia and the scariest monsters! 4 players sit around an iPad and race to match the monster or riddle that appears before them to 4 choices. The first player to win 3 rounds is declared the champion.
So… what school subject is easy for a witch? Spell-ing of course! Halloween Party App is addictive (just like candy), scary (like haunted houses) and fun (like trick or treating!) – what will you discover among the scariest photos and screams of your opponents?
The party game features spooky music to set the mood along with fearsome but cute drawings that have been designed to give a somewhat scary but playful feel to the game. With approximately 100 questions and images centered around Halloween the app provides opportunity for kids to have fun while the hidden benefit is that they are enjoying reading and playing together. Dave Wingler, Product Manager and Director of Together Learning Media, Inc. says the app has been designed to give kids an opportunity to interact with each other while using technology.
“There are relatively few apps that give children the opportunity to come together in play on a single iPad. One of my biggest successes has been Futaba Classroom Games and I’ve tried to model that success by producing more apps built around small groups competing and collaborating.”
* Up to 4 players can compete reign as Halloween champion
* Tests knowledge on everything Halloween related (trivia, jokes and drawings)
* For use by kids aged 6-11
* Users can add their own pictures and questions to the game
The app is one of the few that pioneers the concept that users can build their own games. Dave Wingler’s first success with the concept in Futaba Classroom Games (Produced by INKids Education) compelled him to try it out in a different context. “If that one question a player has been waiting for is never asked. Or that hilarious Halloween joke isn’t told… No need to worry, Halloween Party comes integrated with a question maker where you can design and tailor make your own quizzes and questions to challenge your friends and family.” Users can also easily send the files via email, or create and share content via Quizlet.com.
Available for iPad, Halloween Party App is Together Learning Media’s second production. Created by a teacher, the game embraces a collaborative mood and will undoubtedly bring fun to Halloween night. Charmingly festive, replete with halloween themed questions and trivia makes it an uplifting game for parties.
