Los Angeles, California – Listn today is pleased to announce the release and immediate availability of Listn 1.485, an update to their free music app for iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch. Using this app, users can stay updated and discover new music by following others’ music libraries. Listn puts their playlists from popular music services in one place and allows them to listen to their friends’ music for free.
All the music on a mobile device forms a user’s Listn music library. After a simple sign up, their music instantly becomes available to their friends and followers. They can create playlists and heart songs from other people’s library to add them to their own collection. Whether they use Spotify, YouTube, Rdio or just an iTunes account, Listn lets them combine their music libraries, allowing them to explore and listen to their friends’ music, regardless of what music streaming service they are on for free.
Listn now includes suggested users, similar to Twitter and Instagram’s sign-up process. A few bigger music blogs have been signed up that will be posting amazing music content on a regular basis. Listn has also gained traction with influential Vine users who are going to be promoting and using the app.
“Listn gives you the ability to interact with music like you have never done before. We’re giving hand-picked music a new meaning,” said Matt Rabinovitch of Listn. “Follow your friends’ music profiles and explore what they listen to, all in a simple stream. This is the best way to connect with your friends and their music. “

Listn was founded a year ago while the founders were studying at Queen’s University in Canada. They didn’t have any specific idea or projects they were working on at the time; they just knew we wanted to work together. This is the first public mobile app that the company has created. Through the process, they’ve raised seed funding from both Canadian and American investors. All Material and Software (C) Copyright Listn. All Rights Reserved.
