American Fork, Utah – Izatt Apps today announces MileBug 3.3 for iOS, a required update for those using MileBug Cloud. With the pending Parse shutdown, MileBug has migrated to another cloud solution. This requires using to upgrade for continued cloud access. No additional cost is incurred.

Parse has been one of the top solutions for app developers wishing to add cloud storage and other features to their apps. When Facebook acquired Parse in 2013, it was seen as a move to secure the longevity of Parse by having a real heavyweight behind it. Unfortunately, earlier this year, Facebook announced that they will be shutting down Parse and encouraged app developers to migrate their apps away from Parse as soon as they could. This 3.3 release of MileBug is that migration. So any users who are using the MileBug Cloud, will need to get this update in order to have continued cloud service. No additional cost is needed, and all credentials remain the same. The transition should be unnoticeable to the user, but the upgrade is required.

At the beginning of each year since 2014, MileBug has reached the #1 spot in the Finance category in the U.S. Apple App Store, including twice in 2016. MileBug was listed last year by Smart Hustle Magazine as one of “5 Apps Your Accountant is Begging You to Have in 2015”.

Since the last release, when a user now generates a report, in addition to traditional email delivery, new options include AirDrop, Google Drive, and Evernote. AirDrop allows the user to send the report directly to their Mac computer or to another iOS device. The user may also save the report directly to their Google Drive account. If the Evernote app is also installed, the report may be added into an Evernote notebook.

MileBug is a beautiful mile tracker app that makes it easy to track your tax-deductible mileage on your iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad devices. MileBug first hit the Apple App Store in August 2008. At the time, MileBug was one of less than 2700 apps in the store. By January 2010 it had risen to be a Top 10 Finance app, where it has regularly appeared since, even reaching the #1 spot dozens of times since January 2014, including several so far in 2016.
