Novosibirsk, Russian Federation – Movavi, a leading publisher of multimedia software, unveils the latest version of Movavi Video Converter for Macintosh. Movavi Video Converter for Mac version 4.0 is now 3 – 4 times faster than the previous version for most format combinations. For certain parameters, the software will demonstrate a speed increase of up to 81x. Internal tests show that a 30 minute, 2.29 GB AVI (H.264) video file with a resolution of 1920×1080 pixels can be converted to MP4 in just 4 minutes and 35 seconds; the equivalent software products from Xilisoft, Roxio, and Cyberlink take a minimum of 1 hour and 23 minutes to convert the same files.

Extended Multimedia Format Support:
The new input formats supported include SWF, ASF, WebM, OGV, RM, and WTV. New to the list of output formats are MKV, OGV, WebM, MOV, MPEG-TS, 3G2 (3GPP2), and SWF. With this update, Movavi’s Mac OS X converter enables users to manage all popular formats like MP4, AVI, FLV, MKV, and MPEG, as well as take full advantage of Flash (SWF) animation and web-compatible formats. The complete list of supported formats can be found on Movavi’s website.

SuperSpeed Conversion: Fast Format Change and Editing:
The accelerated SuperSpeed conversion process supports extremely fast conversion speeds, even for large high definition videos, with zero loss of quality. Thanks to this new technology, Movavi Video Converter can convert video formats encoded with H.264, MPEG-2, and MPEG-4 codecs at the same speed as simple data copying, as no re-encoding is required. While the feature is only available for a specific list of input-output format combinations (listed on Movavi’s website), the Movavi solution supports AVI, FLV, MKV, MOV, MPG, MP4, and M2TS plus a number of mobile device presets like iPad and iPhone, providing more options than competing products. When using SuperSpeed conversion, the original file and the selected output format will have the same resolution, bitrate, size, and codec, so the original quality remains the same.

Additionally, SuperSpeed conversion is compatible with the software’s video splitting and trimming. To quickly extract a particular scene or shorten a movie, all the user needs to do is select the piece to be removed using the handy timeline left and right border markers and then choose a preset with the SuperSpeed logo.

Conversion for Mobile Devices:
Movavi Video Converter for Mac adds new ready-made conversion presets for mobile devices, making it even easier for users to transcode their videos with optimized auto settings for specific models. The list of presets includes all Apple device models (iPod, iPhone 5C/5S, iPad Air, iPad Mini, etc.), Amazon Kindle Fire, Android tablets and smartphones, Nokia Lumia, Samsung Galaxy, Motorola, Google Nexus lines, and other popular brands.

Smart Predefined Presets:
The reworked automatic conversion presets have been designed to preserve the highest possible quality in the output video. All parameters except for codecs remain unchanged or are automatically optimized by the program. Advanced users can also change video parameters manually in the Settings dialogue window, which is now more user-friendly and uses the same layout for all formats.

The new Smart fit frame adjustment ensures that the original aspect ratio is retained, so the output video won’t be stretched or distorted. The Up to size option prevents videos from being converted to a higher resolution than the original, which would lead to a lower quality output video when encoding for mobile device presets.

New User Interface:
The new Movavi Video Converter for Mac features a completely redesigned user interface that conveniently displays all file information. With the upcoming upgrade of Movavi’s Video Converter for Windows, the two products will look alike and will support almost the same functionality. Users have the opportunity to rename output files and detach the preview window to display it on a second monitor.

Other notable features in the new software include:
* Automatic Deinterlacing is applied to all conversions (except in the SuperSpeed mode) to smooth interlaced (RAW) camera footage
* Rotate (the output video can be rotated clockwise or counterclockwise)
* Output video size prediction appears before users start processing
* Output video preview is shown before the conversion starts to make sure there are no unwanted black bars in the video
*’ Add to iTunes’ synchronization for Apple presets exports output files to the user’s iTunes video library as soon as the conversion is complete
* Support for multi-channel sound in PCM and Vorbis codecs
* Ability to choose subtitles which you want to save in the output video

Pricing and Availability:
The free 7-day trial version of Movavi Video Converter for Mac 4 can be downloaded from the product’s official page, and a full license can be purchased on the Movavi website for $39.95 (USD). It will also be available through the Mac App Store soon.
