Rome, Italy – Minicab managers looking to streamline and simplify their operations without affecting customer service will welcome the new Limo Manager app. Built around the popular Taxi Professional app, Limo Manager provides new management features that make managing trips as simple as tapping on a map while allowing Minicab drivers to employ the new mobile technologies without breaking the law.

Using Limo Manager, service managers can enter their customer’s stated pick-up point on a map, along with the nearest vehicles from their fleet. A quick tap on a car then allows the manager to assign the fare to that driver and sends details of the journey to their iPhone via the complementary Taxi Professional app. Minicab managers gain an extra edge by being able to assign routes and define the fare in advance.

“Limo Manager has been designed to make the process of managing a fleet of cabs as simple as possible,” said lead developer Fabrizio Bartolomucci, “By using a basic map view, you can perform all of the most common taxi management tasks using nothing more than your iPad. The system is flexible enough for managing taxis and minicabs and fares according to the specific needs of the operator.”

The same drag-and-drop positioning technique can be used to alter the pick-up point should the customer change their travel plans. A handy on-screen table allows the taxi dispatcher to track active bookings, reassign cabs or cancel orders. Minicab firms can also set the fare for each trip remotely, while drivers can keep a record of their marked-up cost using Taxi Professional. In this way cab firms have greater control over fare charging and costs that is available with other taxi apps.

Using nothing more than their Apple tablet and the Limo Manager app, cab dispatchers will now be able to manage almost every aspect of their operations. Cost-conscious firms may even find that they no longer need to rely on antiquated scheduling software, operate traditional radio services or even maintain a physical office.

“Limo Manager brings Cloud-like services to the taxi business,” continued Bartolomucci, “Using this app, cab operators can slash their running costs and improve the service they offer to their customers. At a time when fuel costs continue to spiral out of control, any saving is welcome.”
