San Francisco, United States – PixelCut today is proud to announce the release and immediate availability of PaintCode 3, a new version of its popular design and development tool for OS X. PaintCode is a vector drawing app that turns drawings into code, acting as a bridge between developers and graphic designers.
The new version introduces support for Android using the Java programming language, as well as for the Web using JavaScript and HTML canvas.
“For the first time, our customers will be able to export their PaintCode drawings into code for four major platforms – iOS, macOS, Android and the Web. PaintCode offers the best solution for creating resolution-independent, parametric drawings. With our new Android and JavaScript support, creating compelling user interfaces that look great everywhere is now easier than ever,” said Peter Krajcik, PixelCut’s CEO.
PaintCode 3 also adds support for Swift 3, the latest version of Apple’s popular programming language.
Another major new feature is “Telekinesis.”
“Other design tools offer basic mirroring apps, but we’ve opted to go much further. Many of our customers design their entire app in PaintCode. With our new Telekinesis feature, customers can change their app’s design while it runs on a real device. It is truly magical,” said Mike Antonic, PaintCode lead developer.
The new version also significantly improves available drawing tools and the quality of generated code.
Previous PaintCode versions have been successfully adopted by numerous developers, including companies such as Apple, Disney, Dropbox, Google, LEGO, The New York Times and Uber.
Pricing and Availability:
PaintCode 3 is available on PixelCut’s online store for $99 (USD). PaintCode 3 is no longer available on the Mac App Store, and can only be purchased from PixelCut’s own online store. You can find further information about PaintCode and a trial version on the product website.
