Reston, Virginia – Software and Computer Systems Company, LLC, (SCSC) has released Scannerz 1.9.9.90 for the Mac OS X Operating System. This version is specifically designed to improve the performance of Scannerz, Phoenix, and Performance Probe, which are all included along with FSE or FSE-Lite in the package.
Scannerz is a set of hard drive, SSD, and system analysis tools utilizing advanced diagnostic algorithms developed by SCSC. Scannerz can be used to analyze hard drives, SSDs, the circuitry supporting drives, and assist in isolating other system problems, such as RAM or logic board problems. The package also includes the recently released Phoenix for Mac OS X, version 2.1 and Performance Probe, version 2.1. Phoenix is a cloning and OS extraction tool, and Performance Probe is used to help isolate applications that are bottlenecking a system. The package, depending on how it’s ordered, also includes FSE or FSE-Lite, which are file system event monitors.
“The biggest deal in this release is summed up in one word: performance,” stated Bill Wagner, the company owner. “As Apple produces hardware and operating systems that are more and more complex, some owners of older hardware may find the response of their own systems are now suffering. With this release, we’ve specifically targeted these problems with our own products to ensure that the performance is not denigrated. Whether it be Scannerz, Phoenix, or Performance Probe, the user experience should be the same whether a user has Snow Leopard or El Capitan installed. FSE and FSE-Lite, which are also included in the package, needed no work because they tend to be log file oriented, rather than related to the graphical user interface. We think users will be quite happy with the improvements we’ve made to the product line.”
Product Availability:
Current users of the product will be notified by the company in the next few days for update instructions. The update will be free for all current users of fully featured versions of Scannerz. Scannerz 1.9.9.90 for Mac OS X is fully supported by SCSC in the U.S. for registered users.
