San Diego, California – RWH Technology today is proud to announce the release of SpeakColors Espanol Pro 3.0, an iPad app designed to help young children improve their speech and language skills. SpeakColors Espanol is more than a colors app. Designed by a Speech-Language Pathologist, this app can be used to improve vocabulary, articulation, spoken sentences, and fluency skills. This Spanish version of SpeakColors is great for bilingual children.

SpeakColors Espanol is easy to use and child-friendly. Sentence structures are shown visually. Press the buttons to hear a Spanish voice recording of the carrier phrase, noun or color. There are 7 colors, 19 sentence types and 1175 sentences to choose from. The child can use the microphone to practice speaking and then playback to get immediate feedback.

In 2011, Tiffany Harrison, a licensed Speech-Language Therapist, created SpeakColors to help children with special needs “increase their use of descriptive color words and encourage increased phrase length”. The majority of speech therapy apps are geared towards an English-speaking audience, including the original SpeakColors.

Robert Harrison, software developer and owner of RWH Technology, says, “In southern California, we see a lot of demand for bilingual (English and Spanish) speech therapy services and knew that a Spanish app could be very helpful to a lot of people. To create a Spanish version of SpeakColors, we needed someone who was fluent in Spanish and could model all the sounds and words in the app. In the spring of 2013, Ana Paula G. Mumy, a trilingual Speech-Language Therapist from Colorado, approached us with the idea of collaborating on a Spanish version of the app. We loved her voice, and so we decided to work with her to create SpeakColors Espanol.”
