Madrid, Spain – Technology for Emotions today is pleased to announce the release and immediate availability of The Story of Dracolino 1.0, its new interactive educational book for iPad. Dracolino is a little dragon who wants to sing instead of being like other dragons who breathe fire and scare people. Written by famous author, psychologist, and social and emotional learning expert, Begonia Ibarrola, The Story of Dracolino teaches children how to overcome their embarrassment and to believe in themselves and the power of their dreams. It also helps children develop other socio-emotional competencies to foster self-acceptance and happiness in their lives, such as:

* Fosters communication
* Decision-making skills
* Practice emotional recognition
* Tests comprehension
* Develop emotional intelligence

“Tales, ultimately, convey values without being lessons, teach without giving advice, and orient and guide the reader in the great adventure of daily life,” says author Begonia Ibarrola. “As seeds of knowledge, about oneself and the world, sleeping on the books, waiting for someone to wake up.”

The Story of Dracolino is completely interactive with original music, sound effects, and colorful animations. Kids can tap on animations within the story to see how they react. The story is fully narrated to accommodate the needs of children who cannot read or users can turn the narration off to read the story aloud themselves. The text of the story is adapted to an “easy read” level. Additionally, The Story of Dracolino is bilingual and can help teach a new language to children. Within the settings, parents can choose the language of the application and book. Available in English or Spanish, children can learn new words by listening to the story, completing the activities, and testing their knowledge with the comprehension quiz.

To help children broaden their emotional intelligence, The Story of Dracolino includes professional guidelines for parents and teachers. These guidelines can be accessed by tapping on the Family icon in the upper right corner of the interface. A pop-up box will appear that features suggestions and questions that the parent or teacher can ask the child to help them process the different elements of the story and apply them to his or her own life.

Feature Highlights:
* Comfortable and colorful User Interface
* Engaging animations
* Ability to turn on/off narration
* Games and activities that are educational and fun
* Includes professional guidelines and suggested activities for parents and teachers
* Bilingual material to practice a second language

In addition to helping children overcome shame and embarrassment, Dracolino’s adventures help children learn how to make responsible decisions as they determine what Dracolino will do at different times within the story. This activity helps the child to develop confidence when facing decisions in their own lives.

The Story of Dracolino features many games and activities that promote the development of useful life skills. Kids can learn to count, compose and record songs, record and imitate animal voices, learn new words, and practice their visual memory. Children can draw characters of the book to practice their emotional recognition and there is a quiz to help test the child’s comprehension. The Story of Dracolino also includes a reward system. With each activity and quiz successfully achieved, The Story of Dracolino awards a heart or star. These hearts and stars enable the child to build Dracolino’s wardrobe with fun and silly clothes to dress Dracolino.

“The Story of Dracolino 1.0 is an inspiring and educational tale that helps children deal with shame and embarrassment while cultivating a belief in themselves and the power of their dreams,” explains Susana Lozano, CEO of Technology for Emotions. “During the development of this app, we consulted with several experts in the field of emotional intelligence.
