Chicago, Illinois – Davka Corporation is pleased to announce the release and immediate availability of the Torah Research Bundle for iOS, which includes Torah Library, a search and study app for classic Jewish texts, and Davka Hebrew Writer, a Hebrew-English word processor, for iPhone and iPad.
Torah Library, with its advanced search algorithm that speedily searches the Bible, Talmud and other major Hebrew texts, as well as the English translation of the Bible, combines with Davka Hebrew Writer, which is designed for bi-directional word processing, to make an ideal bundle for rabbis, scholars, and students.
Torah Library contains a wide range of the major texts of Judaism, including the Bible and commentaries, Jewish law, the Mishnah and Talmud, and many others. Users can search through the entire library in an instant, or restrict searches to specific books. A secondary window can be opened for viewing complementary texts linked to the original text. Users can browse, bookmark, copy and email selections for future reference.
Davka Hebrew Writer is designed for writing in Hebrew and English. One can write in either Hebrew or English as the primary language, while still writing text from the other language in ‘push’ mode. Its ability to add Hebrew vowel points makes it especially useful for students of the Hebrew Bible. Davka Hebrew Writer includes ten Hebrew fonts, ranging from a traditional Torah-scroll font to modern and decorative styles, and it can automatically insert the correct Hebrew or English date into documents.
The Torah Research Bundle is compatible with Apple’s Slide Over and Split View features, which makes it ideal for multi-tasking, using current iPad models such as the iPad Air 2, iPad MIni 4, and the iPad Pro.
