Miami, Florida – Armstrong Santiago announces the release of the app, Your Second Chance or U2C. The GPS-enabled app allows “missed connections” to locate one another and begin conversations via U2C’s secure messaging system. Your Second Chance or U2C is free-of-charge and available for download in the App Store.
Miami-based businessman Armstrong Santiago worked with software developer APPrende Labs to develop the concept: “I first thought of the app when I was living and working in New York City. Every day millions of people take the subway, and everyone is rushing to get to where he or she needs to be. There were many times that I would see an attractive woman on the train but because I am shy I never started a conversation. Instead, I would watch and hope each morning that she would sit or stand next to me so that I would get another opportunity to talk to her. The idea behind Your Second Chance or U2C came from that experience.”
U2C members complete a personal profile that includes at least one photo. Member profiles provide background information and relationship preferences about each user and can upload a maximum of four images. Your Second Chance or U2C allows registered users to “check-in” using the GPS function and will be able to see if other U2C members have visited the same location within a four-hour time-frame.
“The check-in feature built into Your Second Chance makes it easier for “missed connections” to find one another online,” says Armstrong Santiago. “If you didn’t have a chance to introduce yourself or to finish a conversation you started, you can easily review other members’ check-ins at the same location and then reach out with a polite, private message via Your Second Chance or U2C.”
U2C has a messaging function to encourage conversation between members to facilitate meetups without requiring the exchange of personal contact information.
Jerry Phillips, a software developer and co-founder of APPrende Labs says, “We want Your Second Chance users to feel at ease. Your Second Chance helps people that have already seen or met one another find that special person again. Personal photos and complete member profiles enhance control and privacy for all U2C members, so there’s no wondering if the person in the profile photo is really who they say they are. And users can choose to accept or decline messages from other members and also block or report other members via the U2C app if needed.”
Your Second Chance encourages membership from singles in the hetero and GLBT communities. The U2C app is enabled for global GPS check-ins, and Facebook logins.
