Utilizing the advanced features of iOS 8, Today++ adds a widget to your Today view that can be displayed whenever you like by simply swiping your finger down from the top of the screen.
iOS 8 adds support for app designers to add their own Today widgets to the Today view of the Notification Center. The advantage of Today widgets are that they are available anywhere merely by swiping a finger down from the top of the screen. This is even possible on the lock screen and allows users to stay in the app or context they are currently using. Today widgets like Today++ are so useful because the information is easily available no matter what the user is currently doing and there is no need to start an app to display the information.
