Version 2.1.7 adds an option to clear the Global Inbox and makes the grid view available on all devices. The update also improves the decluttering service and enhances URL command support. Updating item counts is more reliable and no longer makes the app unresponsive. Finally, the enhanced error log no longer truncates long entries. The update to version 2.1.7 is free and recommended for all users.

What’s New In DEVONthink To Go 2.1.7:
Version 2.1.7 adds an option to clear the global inbox and makes the grid view available on all devices. The grid view lets users browse their document collection with larger previews and organize them with drag-and-drop, similar to the upcoming iOS 11. It’s activated by tapping the item count button of a group or by swiping right.
The update also improves the decluttering service for saving web pages as clutter-free web archives or Markdown documents. The latter show better previews for documents with embedded HTML code, too. URL commands now let users retrieve an item link for the currently selected document and accept a list of tags to add to newly created items. By specifying a custom return parameter DEVONthink To Go is even easier to integrate with third-party apps.
“Our customers don’t only store and organize their knowledge, they also actively work with it. We’ve already added a solid set of automation capabilities to DEVONthink To Go. The “Labeled” smart group is now sorted by label and the enhanced error log no longer truncates long entries. Item counts are updated more reliably and without blocking the user interface. PDFs have a light gray background and items not downloaded are no longer marked as read. Finally, DEVONthink To Go 2.1.7 enhances the encryption for Bonjour connections, improves the reliability, and fixes bugs. The update is free for existing users and highly recommended.
