Valence, France – In Poculis today is pleased to announce the release and immediate availability of Mahjong In Poculis 5.67, an update to their popular memory game for iPad. Traditionally known as Shanghai Games, the goal of Mahjong In Poculis is to remove all the tiles. Players clear the board by tapping on pairs of identical tiles to make them disappear.

Perfect for Mahjong lovers or those who simply enjoy challenging memorization games, Mahjong In Poculis features 6 fun themes including Christmas, Halloween, Asian, Easter, Wonderland and Future scenarios. There are 50 different layouts within each theme resulting in a total of 300 challenging layouts that feature unique graphics, music, animations and sound effects.

Gameplay statistics are tracked for each theme and layout. Players can easily view their world ranking, best score, and the world’s best score for each of the 6 themes. For each layout, Mahjong In Poculis also displays the player’s best time, points, and world ranking according to score.

“(Mahjong In Poculis) scores high on account of its appealing visuals and seamless game-play,” says Free Downloads Center (1 Dec 2011). “The controls of the game are quite easily accessible and one can get familiar with them within moments. The game is likely to go down well with avid Mahjong fans looking to boost up their entertainment quotient.”

“Mahjong In Poculis 5.67 takes discipline, strategy, and a little bit of luck to win the 5 medals for each scenario,” says Bernard Lerat, co-founder of In Poculis. “We tried all the Mahjong games we could to determine which features we preferred. However, it was not enough. We wanted to add something really new to the gameplay and decided to change the scoring system by the use of combos. You always have to select identical tiles but now, you must evaluate all the possibilities to create straights or four of a kind to earn the highest number of points. This new scoring system adds another dimension to gameplay that we think players are going to love!”
