Berlin, Germany – Created by Harvard Business School graduate and Business Consultant Joerg Fehlinger and former Groupon Sales Director Rolf Frank, Artist Radar’s web and iOS app allows its users to effectively create a personalized entertainment and news hub for music, books and movies.

With the Internet’s massive amount of data and information overflow, finding the right information at the right time has never been more difficult. For the entertainment industry alone the number of albums, ebooks and movies continue to generate daily content that we cannot track effectively. More than 500,000 products and more than 200,000 events are released each year in the US alone.

“The globalization of our musical tastes, the actors we follow, and the authors we love to read has expanded beyond our normal tracking means, and it has become increasingly harder to keep tabs on our growing list of favorite artists every time they release something new,” says Joerg Fehlinger, CEO and Co-Founder of Artist Radar. Furthermore, he adds that “by complimenting one of the biggest media libraries in the world with a beautifully integrated news feed and a simple presentation, users can easily discover exactly what they want without the information overload.”

After a free account is created and users have indicated their favorite bands, authors or actors, Artist Radar automatically collects the content across the Internet that is most relevant and presents it as a personal dashboard and news feed. Browsing and searching on multiple sites has become obsolete as all products are presented in one spot. Additionally, users are instantly alerted when a listed artist releases a new album, ebook, video, movie, audiobook or TV series.

Additionally, the Artist Radar service will track any concert or event that features artists on the user’s account. The app will then alert users of the planned event before tickets go on sale so they never have to miss out on seeing their favorite band. All products are presented with a preview feature and direct shopping links to stores such as iTunes and Amazon.

“The growing level of product offerings that spans all media requires intelligent services that deliver information to users that matters most to them, and at the right time,” says Moritz Borgmann, CTO and Co-Founder of Artist Radar.

The Artist Radar team has spent nearly a year to prepare the product and its database to ensure highest quantity and quality of contents. With 6 million artists, 27 million contents and more than 200,000 events, Artists Radar allows users to find and track any artist – famous or newcomer – for any genre.

“Since the launch of our iOS and web app we have experienced rapid growth throughout all areas and have received great user feedback. This and our nomination to pitch at the TNW Conference New York a couple of days ago shows us that we hit the nerve of the time and that we are on the right track with our service. We will continuously add new features to allow users to discover, shop and experience the products they like,” says Rolf Frank, CEO and Co-Founder of Artist Radar.
