Coeur d’Alene, Idaho – DEVONtechnologies, LLC today updates DEVONthink To Go, its mobile companion to DEVONthink, to version 1.5. DEVONthink To Go is the iPad and iPhone companion to DEVONthink on the Mac. Version 1.5 adds an iOS action extension for clipping data and improves compatibility to iOS 8, the iPhone 6, and iPhone 6 Plus. Users can now create new documents with the current clipboard contents, too. The action extension lets users clip web pages, text, or images from other apps through the standard “share” menu, something that was not possible so easily on iOS in the past.
DEVONtechnologies has updated the TextExpander support to version 3.0 and made the app run in 64 bit. Version 1.5 also supports cross-links to a specific page of a PDF. The Sync button is easier accessible when many databases are open on the Mac synchronizing with. Finally the update fixes some bugs including RTFDs not shown on iOS 8, stretched images, and broken item links. The update is free and recommended to all users.
Version 1.5.4, released today in the App Store, corrects a number of issues with iOS 8, the action extension, and the 64-bit transition.
