Floaty Hamster features an adventurous hamster trying to make his way through the river. Only there’s a maze of infinite beaver-constructed obstacles to navigate. The design relies on an innovative “flicking” control, requiring the user to pull the hamster at the speed and angle they desire, then let go of the screen to fling the hamster into the desired direction. Sometimes the hamster hits the target, sometimes he falls completely flat, leaving the player to cry out, and try yet again. This is the simple yet complex beauty of Floaty Hamster, which lies on double physics throughout its design. The combination of water and gravity makes Floaty Hamster as addictive as Flappy Bird, as players try repeatedly to get the hamster through the obstacles.
